Who we are
EduNation (“we”, “us”) is operated by Qasim A Qadir, trading as EduNation, based at A137, Quetta Town 3A, Gulshan-e-Iqbal Scheme 33, Karachi 75500, Pakistan. You can reach us at developer@edunation.com.pk.
What this policy covers
The EduNation mobile application and the services at edunation.com.pk. Your child’s school decides which records are entered into EduNation; we process those records on the school’s behalf.
Information we collect
You give us
- Phone number — used to sign you in. We send a one-time code by SMS.
- Name, and your relationship to the student.
The school gives us, about your child
- Name, class, section and roll number
- Attendance records, including arrival times
- Examination results and report cards
- Homework and its completion
- Fee invoices and payment status
Collected automatically
- Location — only if you allow it, and only to show local weather.
- A device identifier for push notifications.
- Basic technical information needed to serve requests, such as your IP address.
We do not collect advertising identifiers, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, or your browsing activity outside the app.
Location
If you grant location permission, the app sends your approximate coordinates to Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com), a third-party weather service, to fetch a forecast. Open-Meteo receives the coordinates and nothing else — no name, no phone number, and no information about your child.
Declining is fine. The app falls back to the school’s location and nothing else changes. You can withdraw the permission at any time in your device settings.
Children’s information
EduNation holds records about children, entered by their school. We do not knowingly let children under [AGE] create their own accounts; student access is issued by the school.
We do not use children’s information for advertising, and we do not sell it or share it with advertisers or data brokers.
A parent or guardian may request a copy of their child’s records, or ask for a correction, by writing to developer@edunation.com.pk.
How we use information
Only to run the service: signing you in; showing attendance, results, homework, fees and timetable; sending notices and reminders; processing fee payments; and keeping the service secure.
Push notifications
Notifications are delivered through Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google). A device token is shared with Google for this purpose, and notification content — for example “Fee payment received” — passes through Google’s servers.
You can turn notifications off in your device settings at any time. The same items remain visible in the app.
Payments
Fee payments are handled by a licensed payment provider, [GATEWAY NAME]. Card and account numbers are never entered into, seen by, or stored by EduNation. We keep only the amount, the date, the method and a receipt number.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Where information is stored
On servers located in [COUNTRY]. Firebase and Open-Meteo may process data outside Pakistan.
How long we keep it
Academic and fee records are kept while your child is enrolled, and for [RETENTION PERIOD] afterwards, since schools are required to retain them. Login codes are deleted within minutes. Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days.
How we protect it
Traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Sign-in sessions are stored hashed, never in readable form, and one-time codes are hashed, single-use and expiring. Access to a student’s records is restricted to that student’s own guardians and to authorised staff at their school.
No system is perfectly secure, but these are the specific measures in place.
Your choices
- See your data — most of it is in the app; write to us for the rest.
- Correct it — academic records are corrected by the school, as their source. We will pass a request on.
- Delete your account — write to us. The school may be legally required to keep the underlying academic records.
- Turn off notifications or location — in your device settings, at any time.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date above and notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
